Do you find yourself wanting both more, and less, from a life that’s jam-packed with other people’s needs?

Outgrow the Grind: A Heart Centered Women’s Circle is a small, six-month coaching circle for women who want to outgrow the grind of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and proving their worth by how hard they work.

The next women’s circle will start in Spring of 2025. Join the waitlist here.

It’s not selfish to feel like you want more ease and inspiration from a life that’s moving faster and faster, circling around other people’s needs.

And it’s not dramatic to worry that your own needs and dreams might be getting left behind.

You have a good life. You’re grateful. But it’s just not enough. You know there’s more for you, and in you, and you don’t want to live with regret.

It’s real. You’re not alone. I can help.

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You’ve finally gotten your kid over that frustrating (and kind of scary) hump and your spouse got the big promotion while you're barely dragging yourself through the motions at work and no one seems to notice, or care.

  • You’re the one that colleagues, neighbors, and friends ask for help because you genuinely care. But because you’re running on empty and you’d never dream of asking them for help, you end up feeling prickly and resentful when your own needs and dreams go unfulfilled.

  • Your business is going pretty well but your days are filled with the projects you don’t like doing anymore. You get a lot of praise from your clients, but praise isn’t adding up to a fulfilling life.

Believe me when I say, I get it. I’ve been there. And I promise you, you are not lost. You’re still very much here. And there is most certainly another way.

Imagine…

  • Tending to your own needs and goals without feeling like the rest of life will fall apart, and without exhausting yourself or fighting for them.

  • Making choices and plans that reflect what’s truly important and exciting to you, instead of what life and others demand.

  • Showing up to important moments with calm presence and power vs. reactivity and spinning.

  • Feeling motivated and energized to make change out of genuine curiosity and inspiration instead of a relentless cycle of doing, striving, and proving.

  • No longer going through the motions and faking your own fulfillment but feeling actively engaged in your own life and future.

It’s absolutely possible, and I can show you how.

Introducing…

Outgrow the Grind: A heart centered women’s circle.

A small, six-month coaching circle for women who want to outgrow the grind of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and proving their worth by how hard they work.

  • Powerful group coaching to help you honor what you need and want

  • 1:1 coaching to focus on your specific stuck points and goals with an action plan for real and meaningful change

  • Workbooks with thought-provoking and actually fun practices to help you integrate your learning

By application only, there’s space for four more women to join us.

The next circle begins in Spring of 2025.

By the end of our six months together, you’ll be able to…

  • Feel a renewed sense of purpose and passion in your life

  • Recognize and tend to your own needs and goals

  • Be more and do less

  • Permission to set and maintain boundaries that make your energy and efforts more effective (and better for everyone!)

  • Tend to your big dreams that scare and excite you

And, you don’t have to wait until the program is over to see results.

You’ll have more energy, clarity, and inner calm within a few weeks.

What previous women’s circle clients say about the program…

Thank you for your curiosity!

What does the voice of "the grind" say vs. the voice of growth? I learned the [very stark] difference between the two while on a 5-day vacation to Key West.

I also used to be a chronic perfectionist and over-worker.

In 2017, I had 16+ years in social justice nonprofits and an 800-mile hike under my belt. I’d gotten all A’s in grad school while working full time. Everyone could count on me but me.

I was on overdrive and exhausted. My nervous system was shot, but I didn’t think twice about how much the daily grind was costing me in terms of my time or my energy. It’s like my internal compass was broken from too many years of reacting to the demands and needs around me. I was in survival mode.

A few months after going all in on my ex-boyfriend’s dream (the 800-mile hike), I landed my dream job as an Enroller for the School of Womanly Arts. I was so dedicated to my work [and lonely] that I was taking my laptop on every vacation, checking work email on my phone 24/7, and numbing out on the evenings and weekends out of pure exhaustion.

Oh and also, the company I worked for was all about empowering women to have more pleasure and power in their lives. Ha!

I wanted to start my coaching business but I was scared. My inner critics were in full force! They told me I was being silly and selfish to even think I had what it took to nurture my own dreams. I was scared of starting all over again and I didn’t know if I had what it took to work for myself.

Even though I knew I was a great coach, I was paralyzed by self-doubt.

  • There are already so many coaches!

  • If my life isn't in perfect order right now, do I have anything to offer?

  • What if I can't make a living?

I was working so hard because it made me feel worthy and important and like I was contributing on the outside. But it also made me feel lonely and miserable on the inside.

No amount of Netflix reality shows or fancy cocktails with friends was helping. My frustration, and my desire for change, was far beyond distracting.

Finally, in 2019, I outgrew the grind.

I left my full-time job to nurture the seeds of my own dreams. And even though I was scared to go out on my own, I had a deep belief that I could do it.

I began to trust myself more. I started to reach out to potential clients and talk about my business. And, of course, I still encountered challenges.

As a recovering people-pleaser, I felt guilty about leaving my job (I had become really skilled at making my boss look good!). To be honest, I missed playing the hero who could quickly jump in and fix almost anything at a moment's notice.

But I kept at it. I kept believing I could design a life that didn’t hinge upon my self-sacrifice.

It’s been a few years, and it’s not like I’ve totally arrived (gardens are still messy!), but I’ve never felt so alive and aligned with my purpose.

You have your own path, obviously. Your own garden. But I’m here as an example that you CAN find your own ease, confidence, and excitement again. You CAN nurture your own dreams and lead a purposely fulfilling, inspired life.

Isn’t it time? Are you finally ready for you? I am! And I’m so eager to see what grows.

Here’s what you’ll get from Outgrow the Grind…

1. Group Coaching Circles Every Other Week (14 sessions!)

We’ll meet on Zoom for 90 minutes every other Wednesday for six months. Using the garden metaphor as our guide, we’ll explore four growth phases (Seed, Sprout, Grow, Bloom) that create a foundation for making the change you seek into a tangible, lived experience. Using a combination of group work, solo reflection, plus plenty of time for Q+A, you will reconnect with you and what you want and need. Here’s the program schedule.

2. Four 1:1 Coaching Sessions to tend to what you need and want

We’ll explore your values, what brings you energy, where you need extra support, celebrate all of the ways you’re growing, and continue to calibrate towards who you want to be as you tend to your precious needs and dreams.

3. Dedicated Online Community (not Facebook) for connection and support

A place to ask questions, share ups and downs, cheerlead each other, and be supported by me and your fellow circlers. Past participants have loved the convenience of having access to each other in their pocket.

4. Four digital workbooks that make it easy to track, reflect, and integrate what you’re learning

Four beautifully designed (if I do say so myself!) digital workbooks that align with each growth phase, giving you space to take notes, reflect, and return as your vision (and garden) grow.

5. Four custom Spotify playlists aligned with each growth phase

Sometimes a rockin’ playlist is the absolute best way to anchor and embody change!

I’ve created a playlist for each of the four growth phases to serve as your soundtrack as you grow. (It’s been proven that music is beneficial to our mental, physical, and relational health.)

6. Unlimited Voxer support with me whenever you need it

Voxer is a free app that enables you to send private voice notes and texts. For the duration of the program, you get me as your on-call coach for accountability; to share wins, frustrations, and questions; and any other needs for support that come up.

BONUS: Boundary Setting Scripts to help you say no

Do you ever wish you had a cheat sheet with exactly what to say when you’re setting a tricky boundary at home or work?

I’ve got you covered with an easily customizable list of what to say or write when you want to set clear and powerful boundaries.

Outgrow the Grind is for you if…

  • You're a woman* who is used to burnout and putting other people first. Maybe you identify as a “People Pleaser” or a “High Achiever” or a “Fixer.”

  • You’ve achieved a lot on the outside but it cost you a lot on the inside. There’s more you want to do, but it’s time to do and create in a new way.

  • You’re craving a sense of community with like-hearted women who get it.

*I use an inclusive definition of "women" that includes all women and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.

Outgrow the Grind is not for you if…

  • You can commit to Zoom calls but not much else. Your practice and reflection outside of our calls is essential for your growth.

  • You’d rather hang out in anonymity, muted with camera off. This is an active, engaged community by design because meaningful support and connection fuels growth.

  • You are resistant to new ways of feeling and doing. We work with thoughts and mindset but also body, spirit, and emotions. It’s not therapy, but it’s not an intellectual think tank either.

Are you in?

Your first step is to apply for the program.

After you’ve applied, I’ll set up a 20-minute alignment call with you to make sure this program is right for you.

Before our first group coaching circle-up together, you’ll receive powerful pre-work and an individual coaching session with me. We’ll dig into the fertile soil of both your current experience and your unique vision for your growth.

I promise, you haven’t done a program exactly like this before.

We’ll follow a model for growth that makes the change you desire (the fulfilling life, the pride and confidence in how you show up, the genuine sense of value and contribution) a real, lived experience in your body, heart, and mind.

Our journey together is guided by 4 phases of growth.

  • Phase 1: SEED

A tiny seed has everything it needs to grow into a healthy plant. You were born complete and whole, too. There’s nothing that needs to be fixed in you.

In this growth phase, you’ll remember and celebrate who you were before the world told you who you should be.

We are all seeds. And we each have future forests and rose gardens inside us, just waiting to be born.

    — Rebecca Campbell

  • Phase 2: SPROUT

In moments of stuckness and stagnancy, it’s easy to feel all alone. And because some of the forces keeping you there are subconscious, they can be especially hard to break through. In this growth phase, you’ll identify and unlearn what’s blocking your brilliance and practice being kind to yourself as you start to sprout new growth.

“Life does not accommodate you; it shatters you. Every seed destroys its container, or else there would be no fruition.”

    — Florida Scott-Maxwell

  • Phase 3: GROW

In this growth phase, you’ll reconnect with what you need, what matters most to you, and what brings you energy. You’ll grow past the unrelenting daily grind and the guilty feelings that come up whenever you tend to your needs. You’ll start to realize that honoring what feels right to you is not selfish, bad, or greedy. It’s a helpful way to determine what growing conditions work best for you! You’ll also reflect on what you want instead of what you “should” do in this phase.

    “Dreams grow if you grow.”

    — Zig Ziglar

  • Phase 4: BLOOM

In this phase, you’ll begin to share more of your true self with the world. And with confidence and alignment that truly feels good to you on the inside. You’ll invite others to support you and you’ll gain practices that help you choose reflecting over reacting. You’ll also identify and expand upon how your big goals will continue to bloom after the program ends.

Delight yourself and you delight the world.

    — SARK

Do you want another year to go by before you start tending to your needs and dreams?

Take a moment.

Close your eyes and picture who you want to be one year from now…

If you keep fitting your needs in between other people’s needs, will you become the woman that you’re longing to be? Sadly, no.

I don’t want you to look back and wonder what it might’ve been like if you would’ve started tending to your needs and dreams now.

I want you to look back with pride in how you chose to honor your needs and how you feel more alive again.

And, I don’t want you to have to keep trying to do it all on your own.

I want you to have a circle of women [who truly get it!] to support you as you grow.

The circle has space for only six women, so if you’re feeling an inner nudge to apply, now is the time!

“Remember there is so much more to you than what you can perform, produce, or do. There is immense value in your simply being.”

— Octavia Raheem, Author of Pause, Rest, Be

Frequently Asked Questions

  • This is a great question to bring to your alignment call with me after you fill out your application.

Maybe you’d never call yourself a “people pleaser” or “high achiever” or “fixer” because you’d use different words (like “nurturer” or “caretaker”) or maybe you don’t quite identify with the unique challenges that this circle was created to address.

Don’t worry, we’ll figure it out together on our alignment call.

And if this circle isn’t quite a fit, we can explore alternative ways for you to try some of the exercises and practices that you’re curious about.

  • I’m so glad you asked about this!

Some of our previous participants would also consider themselves shy. Our small circle is very informal and welcoming. I trust that you’ll share what and when you want to, no pressure to talk more than you’re comfortable with.

  • A group coaching circle is a small community where you can come as you are and be both brave and authentic. It’s a space where you’ll engage in exercises and practices, and share what you’re learning as you grow.

Instead of a lecture and a slide deck, imagine a very connective, supportive book club (with less reading, more exercises, and lots of space to reflect).

  • Our Women’s Circle meets every other Wednesday from 6pm - 7:30pm PT / 9pm - 10:30pm ET for a total of 14 sessions. The first call is on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024.

    Here’s the Program Schedule.

  • It’s up to you!

Plan to spend about 2 hours a week on the weeks that we have our 90-minute group coaching calls and 30 minutes to an hour per week on the weeks that we don’t meet.

After a couple of weeks, you’ll find your own rhythm of how much time you want to engage with your playlists, workbook, journal, or with your circlemates in the online community.

Consider everything beyond the group and 1:1 coaching calls a buffet to sample from for a full six months, where you can decide what tastes best to you and leave the rest.

  • We’ll begin each call with a practice to let go of distractions, fully arrive together, and get centered.

Then we’ll start with a check-in question so we can hear from you and your fellow circlers.

After that, we’ll dive into an exercise together.

Then we’ll get into sharing and reflection about what you’re learning. You may be invited to share with the full group or you might share in a smaller breakout group with 1-2 other women. Here you’ll have the chance to be witnessed without judgment.

Before we say goodbye, I’ll share your at-home exercises for you to dig into before our next session.

There will be time to ask questions, and then we’ll close our circle with a completion round of shares from everyone.

Here’s our Syllabus and our Program Schedule.
