I’m sending love your way
I know Valentine's Day gets a bad rap as a "hallmark" holiday.
For as long as I can remember, I've always loved it.
Any extra reason to love and be loving feels right.
Another thing I've loved all my life is the pure magic of seeing hearts in nature.
I've always been an appreciator and collector of heart shaped rocks!
When I backpacked part of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2017, I was amazed by the number of heart shaped rocks I saw.
I learned [the hard way!] how these special rocks needed to be collected in photos instead of in my backpack.
I was inspired to make an Instagram reel today with some of the hearts that I've found in nature, including some from the trail.
It's set to the song "More Love" by The Dixie Chicks.
Whether you're a VDay fan or not, maybe you too believe our world needs more love.
Let's add in more loving wherever we can. And not just romantic love (although that's great too)!
Perhaps through...
Eye contact and smiles with strangers.
Really listening when someone is speaking to us.
Friendly waves to our neighbors.
Sharing our appreciation as often as possible.
Random and frequent acts of kindness.
Being generous with our attention + sense of humor + curiosity.
And, let's not forget to *be loving with ourselves too!
How do you add more love? Reply to this email - I'd love to know!
May your Valentine's Day eve be oh so sweet.
I hope you know how much I love being in community with you.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Stacy
