Are you feeling weighed down + exhausted too?
I had a profound conversation with my friend and colleague a couple of weeks ago.
We ventured out past the usual territory of "How are you?" and "Oh, I'm fine."
We talked candidly about what was feeling heavy in our lives.
Even the things that are hard to say out loud.
It was as if we both sat down at a shared table and emptied out our heavy backpacks one item at a time so we could lovingly witness the weight of what each of us had been carrying around.
And after gently laying each item out on the table (sharing with each other)...
We both felt lighter and more liberated.
Relieved.
Less alone.
We were reminded of how potent this medicine of compassionately witnessing and being witnessed by other women can be.
Especially as we approach the holidays when there can be a lot of pressure to perform or "put on a happy face" on top of the many demands on our time and energy.
Inspired by our burden-lifting conversation, we're co-facilitating two upcoming women's circles and we'd love for you to join us.
