What does your heart know that your brain has forgotten?
How often do you get the chance to tune into your heart?
To turn down ⬇️ the volume on the swirl in your brain - the to do’s, the critical thoughts, the worries, the ways you’re “behind” or “too late” or “not enough"...
And turn UP ⬆️ the volume on your heart and the compassion that lives there?
On Sunday, I co-led a women’s circle with my dear friend and colleague Seema Sodha.
You may already know that our women's circle was called Lighten to Liberate: How to shift from exhausted to energized by practicing the art of self-compassion.
When we began the circle, the participants shared how they felt. [My hunch is that we were hearing from many folks’ brains…]
They mentioned feeling:
Confused
Discombobulated
Resentful
Multiple women mentioned feeling disconnected.
In our time together, each woman shared what feels heavy, tapped into her heart’s wisdom, reconnected with her own unique version of self-compassion, and held space for other women without having to ‘fix’ or ‘solve’ anything.
At the end of our circle, here’s some of the wisdom that participants received from their hearts:
“Tapping into my heart reminded me that it’s always there for me, and to trust it. I had stopped following my heart, but now I’m aligned again.”
“I didn’t realize how much I was grossly undervaluing self-compassion.”
“I realized how important it is to be consistent with my morning self-compassion practices.”
“I felt relieved knowing I don’t have to ‘fix’ it.”
Do you feel the difference between brain wisdom and heart wisdom?
Are you curious about what your heart knows?
Seema and I are offering one more women’s circle (the last of the year!) tomorrow, Thursday, December 1st at 10am PST // 1pm EST // 6pm UK // 7pm CET.
The virtual circle is 90 minutes long.
It’s for high achievers, conscious leaders and exhausted nurturers who want to feel lighter, more nourished, and re-connected to their inner flame.
We'd love for you to join us!
Wishing you an easy transition from November to December,
Stacy
