What permission makes possible

“The world didn’t end because I decided to stop work early.”

"I'm learning to ask myself 'What do I want to do?' first."

“I’ve been working more than I thought. I needed that nap more than I knew.”

“I learned that when I took care of myself, someone else jumped in and took care of a task I was dreading."

“I wasn’t as stressed in my meetings after a mid-day bath.”

“If I didn’t give myself permission, I would've missed out on an opportunity I wanted.”

These are just a small sampling of the many learnings that women shared during Permission Palooza, an experiment where 27 women gave themselves permission to follow what they need or want for 5 days.

Each day, participants were invited to share what they were going to give themselves permission to do or not do.

The theme that came up again and again in their shares was permission to DO LESS.

Women gave themselves permission to...

  • Take the day off to rest and heal

  • Leave work early

  • Actually take a break from work during maternity leave 3 weeks after giving birth

  • Stop pushing through

  • Ask for what they need without feeling like a burden

  • Let it be easy

  • Take a real lunch break instead of lunch in front of the computer

  • Take a mid-day nap or bath

  • Go at their own pace

If giving yourself permission to do less is something that you want more of too, and you've tried to tap into permission instead of guilt by yourself with no luck, I can help you.

Permission to do less = more time and energy for what really matters to you.

Schedule a 30 minute exploratory call and we'll chat about what could best support you - a workshop, a customized Half Day Heart Opener, 1:1 coaching, or my women's circle.

YES to more women permitting themselves to do less!

Take good care,

Stacy
