The right fit matters [especially with shoes, bras, and coaches].

Have I ever told you about the therapist I worked with a few years ago who sometimes called me Tracy?

It was 2021.

With lots of folks needing mental health support during the pandemic, almost every therapist had a giant waitlist.

I played phone tag with a few, and picked the person that was the most available.

[As I type that to you, of course now I realize this feels like a very clear red flag.] 🚩

When we first started meeting, I didn't love the way she opened up our sessions.

I also didn't love it when she called me Tracy.

But I thought to myself - isn't a pretty good therapist better than no therapist?

After one year of seeing her, I realized in one of our sessions how unseen I felt.

During that session, I told her that this would be our last.

Turns out, the best thing I got out of our therapy together was practice listening to myself and speaking up about it.

[A very useful skill we can always benefit from practicing!]

A year and a half later, I was introduced to a somatic therapist through a teacher of mine. She was a teaching assistant in my class.

Reading her bio, I felt a strong sense of alignment.

She had a background in women's health and not only was a somatic therapist, she's also a doula.

From our first session in early 2023, I have been completely blown away by how supportive she is and how easy it feels to work with her.

I feel fully seen, witnessed, and met.

There are no parts of our session where I feel unseen or she gets my name wrong.

Our alignment is better than I could've ever imagined.

I'm experiencing the same incredible alignment with my coach.

She's so heartfelt, genuine, wise, and truly cares about me and how to support me.

I've also worked with coaches who were more attached to their script than to me and what I was saying.

And I've worked with coaches who were "Sage from the Stage"-types leading a gigantic class that I'd just get lost in.

Deciding where to invest your precious time, energy, and money is an important decision.

When it comes to choosing your therapist, coach, dentist, yoga teacher, (any service provider, really!), hold out for the right person.

Your body will know.

If you're considering working with me or joining my upcoming women's circle, here are 4 ways to assess our fit:

  1. Book a free 30-minute call with me. In it, I'll learn more about what you're experiencing now, what you want to be experiencing, and we'll get a better sense of each other and whether interacting feels easy.

  2. Watch this 5-minute video about the voice of the grind vs. the voice of growth that I filmed after a 5-day vacation in Key West.

  3. Read what some of my women's circle clients and coaching clients say about working with me (below).

  4. Email me back and tell me more about what you're longing for. I'll reply and we can explore how I can support you.

What previous women’s circle clients say about the program…

These calls are like a savior for me - I get re-energized, re-motivated, and even if I’ve had a shitty day, I feel really good coming out of the zoom calls.”

-Jessica

"My relationships feel different, my outlook on my situation and my future feels so different, I feel sooo much less internal turmoil and judgment.... It feels like everything has shifted.”

-Ashley C.

The growth I feel is the best part. How I understand and accept myself. I feel more like my authentic self, more balanced. This shit really works!

-Caroline

What 1:1 coaching clients say about working with me…

"I feel completely seen and held. It's safe to break down. It's equally safe to shine. And Stacy helped me tap into the wisdom in my BODY which is so different from what I usually do (which is plow through with mental energy / ruminating on a problem)."

-Vanessa

"Stacy has empowered me to reclaim my time, energy, and a life I am absolutely in love with."

-Kate

"Stacy brings humor, lightness, excitement, curiosity and joy to places where things could get heavy. Even when people would share challenging things, there was empathy but also zest."

-Joy

Wishing you a beautiful rest of your weekend,

Stacy
