A note of enough-ness
At a season when expectations are at an all time high, and most of us just want a big ol' BREAK already, I wanted to send you a note to remind you of your enoughness.
The other day, a friend of mine said that the holidays tend to emphasize what we don't have.
And I can relate to feeling that way sometimes.
So here's a short 'n' sweet little note to say:
You are enough.
Even when you didn't do more.
Even when there's more to do right now.
Even when you didn't do more cleaning.
Even when you didn't do more holiday shopping.
Even when you didn't cook more.
Even when you didn't write and send out more cards (or ANY cards for that matter).
Even when people might be disappointed with you.
Even when you might be disappointed with yourself.
Even when you're not where you want to be in life.
Even when you are where you want to be but you still feel sad.
Even when you feel lonely by yourself or in a room full of people.
I hope you can zoom in on those special little unexpected moments of joy.
And remember that you're enough exactly as you are.
And you can be gentle with yourself despite all of the giant expectations.
Nothing more to do or buy or force or fix.
Your only "job" is to pay attention.
Sending you lots of love,
Stacy
“joy
is supposed
to slip through the cracks
of your imperfect life
that's how
joy
works”
