How to compose a beautiful life.

I want to re-introduce you to a dear friend of mine, Bryan Pangilinan.

You *may* remember him from an email I sent you in April about The Dreamers [✨ Bryan is Dreamer #1!].

Bryan is a talented composer, artist, singer, producer, CEO, husband and bird dad who outgrew the grind to pursue his true passion.

In my latest podcast episode of Outgrow the Grind, Bryan traces his ability to pursue his passion back to a conversation he and I had in a pool at a Las Vegas hotel five years ago.

We were in Vegas to see Janet Jackson concert and celebrate a friend's birthday.

Here we were enjoying a Bloody Mary at the pool on that day...

Bob (Bryan's husband), me, and Bryan finding refuge in the pool and icy Bloody Mary's in 100+ degree Las Vegas heat.

In our conversation, Bryan shared with me that despite having a successful career and earning a higher income than he ever had, he wasn't truly happy.

He'd been performing in a play outside of work, and he felt a deep and persistent inner longing to write music and express his creativity.

I had just completed my final core coaching course and I was eager to use my coaching skills.

I asked Bryan what he wanted more of.

He was crystal clear on wanting to pursue his passion for music and uplift the voices and stories of his Filipino American community.

And, of course, he encountered shame, fears, and doubts about leaving the well-paying job he had worked so hard to land.

More on those from Bryan right here...

Bryan knew his dream could no longer be ignored.

After that conversation, and with the support and encouragement of his loved ones, Bryan gave himself permission to pursue his passion.

Fast forward five years, and Bryan has composed and co-executive produced a musical called Larry The Musical: An American Journey, which tells the powerful story of Filipino American labor leader Larry Itliong. The musical premiered to sold-out shows this Spring and received overwhelming support from the community.

I was so honored to see Larry the Musical in San Francisco in April - it was phenomenal!

Bryan's journey is a testament to the importance of following your heart and embracing your true calling.

Especially when, on the outside, your circumstances *seem* like a dream come true.

I wanted to share Bryan's story with you because we all have passions and dreams that deserve to be nurtured.

It's never too late to give yourself permission to pursue what ignites your soul. 🔥

Whether it's a creative endeavor, a new hobby, or a career change, honoring your passions can bring so much joy, fulfillment, and aliveness to your life.

Take a moment to reflect on what truly matters to you.

What percentage of your time, energy, and attention goes toward what brings you the most joy?

If it's not enough, consider how you can make small changes to infuse more of your passion into your daily life.

And, if you'd benefit from compassionate support and accountability to make it happen, let's chat.

Remember, giving yourself permission to prioritize your happiness and follow your dreams is not selfish or impossible; it's essential.

I hope Bryan's story inspires you to take a step towards your own passions and dreams.

You deserve to [compose and] LIVE a life of joy, purpose, and fulfillment.

Wishing that the rest of your day is full of 🌱 growth and 🦋 possibility.
